6-Week Set Pieces Block (U12–Adult)
Six weeks to turn set pieces into a genuine weapon for U12 through adult squads. Most grassroots teams lose 10%+ of goals to unrehearsed set pieces and score from almost none of their own. This block fixes both ends — attacking routines and defensive organisation.
📅How this block works
Run one focus per week across six weeks. Each week builds on the last, so by week six the concepts combine naturally in match play. Every week links to ready-to-run drills from the library — print the plan or share it to your team WhatsApp. Week six is always assessment: play, observe, and let the habits show.
Attacking corners
Build two rehearsed corner routines. Near-post flick, far-post attack, and the short corner. Named, practised, and called on match day.
Attacking free kicks
Direct and indirect routines around the box. The dummy-and-shoot, the worked free kick, and delivery into dangerous areas.
Defending corners
Organisation under pressure. Zonal vs man-marking, the near-post and far-post cover, and the goalkeeper's command of the box.
Defending free kicks
The wall, the goalkeeper's position, and the 90-second routine that organises the team before the kick is taken.
Throw-ins and restarts
The forgotten set piece. Long throws, quick restarts, and keeping possession from throw-ins — small margins that win games.
Match integration
Assessment week. Set pieces under match conditions. Both ends — can the team execute its routines and defend the opponent's?
