6-Week Passing Block (U8–U10)
Six weeks to build passing fundamentals for U8–U10 — the age where good passing habits are best formed. Simple, repetition-rich, and confidence-building. From the basic inside-foot pass through to passing in a small game, one step at a time.
📅How this block works
Run one focus per week across six weeks. Each week builds on the last, so by week six the concepts combine naturally in match play. Every week links to ready-to-run drills from the library — print the plan or share it to your team WhatsApp. Week six is always assessment: play, observe, and let the habits show.
The inside-foot pass
One thing, done thousands of times. The plant foot, the locked ankle, and the follow-through. Build the fundamental before anything else.
Receiving to pass
Passing is half receiving. Teach the open body shape and the touch that sets up the next pass.
Passing on the move
Add movement. Passing and receiving while jogging, then the give-and-go. Football happens in motion.
Support and angles
Where to stand to receive. Teach players to move into space and offer an angle — passing needs a target.
Passing in small games
Apply it. 3v3 and 4v4 where passing is encouraged and rewarded. Decisions, not just technique.
Match integration
Assessment week. A game where passing habits should now appear. Celebrate good passes, keep it fun.
