Overload scoring trains players to recognise and exploit numerical advantages. At U10-U12 this is one of the most important tactical concepts: the ability to see and use the overload is the fundamental attacking intelligence of all football.

▶How to run it
- 4v4 SSG. Goal scored from an overload position (2v1, 3v2) = 2pts, standard = 1pt.
- Coach pauses twice to point out missed 2v1 or 3v2 opportunities.
- Progress: 3v3 plus 1 neutral always with the team in possession.
- Count overload goals vs standard goals.
