How to run it

  1. Full squad in starting shape on half-pitch. GK, defence, midfield, attack.
  2. Coach stands with ball at side and plays (or calls) ball to different positions.
  3. Team moves in response: when ball goes wide right, full-back pushes forward, wide midfielder shifts inside, striker moves to far post.
  4. Walk through 6 scenarios: wide right, wide left, central midfield, deep midfielder under press, GK under press, attacking corner.
  5. Increase pace: slow jog through each scenario. Final round: 75% pace. Stop before fatigue.
