Why this drill works

Players who juggle regularly develop better foot-to-ball contact than those who don't. Used as a low-intensity session opener, it serves as a physical warm-up, a mental focus transition from school or work, and a technical habit. The partner challenge element adds motivation without pressure.

How to run it

  1. Every player with ball. 3 minutes individual juggling. No target — count personal bests.
  2. Partner challenge: each pair aims for 20 consecutive juggles — alternating touches. Ball can bounce once.
  3. Progress: no bounces allowed. Any bounce resets count.
  4. Team challenge: whole squad chain — each player juggles once and passes to next. How far can chain go?
