How to run it

  1. Set up 9v9. Play normally for 30 seconds to establish flow.
  2. Coach calls 'FREEZE!' mid-play. Team in possession immediately becomes defending team. Stopwatch starts.
  3. Defending team has 5 seconds to win ball back. Coach counts aloud: '1... 2... 3...'
  4. If not recovered in 5 seconds, defending team drops into shape. No more pressing until next trigger.
  5. Progress: remove FREEZE cue. Any natural turnover triggers counter-press. Award 3pts for goal within 7 seconds of winning possession back.
