The one cue that matters
Constant, coordinated movement — no player static
◆Why this drill works
The 4-0 formation (no fixed pivot, four players rotating fluidly) is advanced futsal — constant movement creating space through rotation alone. It develops the spatial awareness and selfless movement that define high-level futsal. Best for older, experienced players.

▶How to run it
- Four players in a box shape with one ball, no defenders to start.
- Players rotate continuously: the player passing into a space follows their pass; others adjust to keep the shape.
- Build the pattern until the rotation is fluid and constant.
- Add two defenders. The rotation must now create the passing angles to keep possession.
- Progress to 4v2 in a defined area, scoring points for completed rotations.

?Frequently asked questions
Is 4-0 suitable for younger players?
It's advanced. U13+ with good futsal foundations can begin to grasp it. Younger players should master basic three-player rotation and pivot play first.
