Wet Weather Indoor Session
Pitch is unplayable? This 60-minute hall plan is higher quality than most outdoor weeks.
▦Session blocks
Arrival Pairs
A simple pass-and-receive warm-up in pairs as players arrive, getting early touches on the ball in the confined indoor space before the group is complete.
Scan-and-Turn Rondo
A small rondo adapted to the tighter hall dimensions, where receivers must check their shoulder before the ball arrives and open out to face forward on the turn.
One Ball Each — Touch Variations
Every player has their own ball and works through a short sequence of touches at their own pace — ideal for keeping numbers active when hall space is limited.
4v2 Rondo
A classic possession rondo where four players keep the ball away from two defenders in the middle, rewarding quick one- and two-touch passing and constant support angles in a tight indoor space.
Futsal 2v2 End Zones
Two small teams attack opposite end zones inside a confined area, borrowing the tighter control and quicker combination play that futsal demands — well suited to a hall or indoor surface.
End-of-Session Mini-Tournament
A short small-sided tournament to close the session on competition and enjoyment, making full use of the hall before everyone heads back out into the weather.
◆What you'll need from yourself
Clear demonstrations and high energy. Keep the session moving with minimal queuing, and reinforce one or two key coaching points rather than overloading players with information.
!Common problems
Players standing in queues (set up enough stations to keep everyone active) and the session running too long on one activity (keep blocks tight and move on while engagement is high).
