1
Tag with press trigger
10 minAll players dribbling in a grid. When coach calls PRESS, all players dribble to a cone and back as fast as possible. Builds the trigger reaction.
2
Press the back pass
12 min4v4. Rule: any back pass to a goalkeeper or defender triggers an immediate press from the nearest player. Coach counts successful presses.
3
Free 5v5
8 minNo rules. Coach observes how many press triggers occur naturally.
◆What you'll need from yourself
Simple vocabulary: PRESS = sprint to the ball. Use it consistently and enthusiastically. The habit forms through repetition, not explanation.
!Common problems
Players pressing in threes — individual pressing only at this age, not team shape.
