▦Session blocks

1

5v2 rondo warm-up

10 min

Three simultaneous 5v2 rondos in 12x12 squares. Two-touch maximum for outer players. Coach circulates, calling good scans: 'Good look!'

2

Positional 5v5+2 neutrals

18 min

5v5 with two neutral players always playing with the team in possession. Rule: must have players in at least 3 zones (divide pitch into 4 zones) before scoring. Forces positional occupation and width.

3

Conditioned 7v7

22 min

Standard 7v7. Bonus: any team that completes 8 consecutive passes earns a point (separate from goals). Coach counts aloud for first 5 minutes to calibrate. Then backs off.

4

Review

10 min

Ask: what made us lose possession most today? Players answer. Coach listens and adds one coaching point only.

◆What you'll need from yourself

Patience in the positional game — it will look chaotic for 10 minutes. Trust the constraint.

!Common problems

Players not occupying zones — physically put them there first, then let the game reinforce it.
