Session blocks

1

Activation Protocol

0 min

Dynamic mobility → passing pairs → 4v1 rondo at full intensity. Standard pre-shooting warm-up — feet sharp, body warm, mind engaged before live shooting work.

2

Driven Shots from 20–25 Yards

0 min

Three phases: set ball, rolling ball, lay-off under light pressure. Locked ankle, lean over, follow through low. Adult squads often have the technical capacity but not the rep volume — 18 shots from 20+ yards in 15 minutes is the rep count that builds the habit.

3

Cut-Back Finishes

0 min

Wide player drives to byline, cuts back to arriving striker at 10–12 yards. Side-foot into far corner first time. GK on near post. The cut-back is the single most underused goal-scoring mechanism at adult amateur level. 12 reps per pair.

4

3v2 Wave Finishing

0 min

Continuous 3v2 waves at full intensity. First team to 10 goals wins. Losers do 10 press-ups. The competitive structure maintains intensity that pure technical work can't. 23 minutes straight — the session is done after this.

What you'll need from yourself

Clear demonstrations and high energy. Keep the session moving with minimal queuing, and reinforce one or two key coaching points rather than overloading players with information.

!Common problems

Players standing in queues (set up enough stations to keep everyone active) and the session running too long on one activity (keep blocks tight and move on while engagement is high).
