◆Why this drill works
Goalkeepers at U9–U11 in 5v5 and 7v7 formats often have no specific GK training — they pick up the position when it's their turn to rotate. This drill establishes the foundation: how to catch correctly, how to scoop a low ball, how to throw and roll the ball out. 10 minutes of dedicated work transfers immediately to match performance.

▶How to run it
- HANDLING 1 — Chest catch (4 reps): feeder rolls/throws ball to chest. GK catches with two hands, fingers up, ball brought to chest. Don't let it bounce off.
- HANDLING 2 — Scoop catch (4 reps): feeder rolls ball low along ground. GK scoops by getting down on one knee, hands forming a basket, ball brought to chest.
- HANDLING 3 — Bouncing ball (4 reps): feeder throws a one-bounce ball. GK reads the bounce and catches at chest height after the bounce.
- DISTRIBUTION 1 — Roll (4 reps): GK rolls the ball with one hand to a target cone 5m away. Use the inside of the wrist motion, not a throwing motion.
- DISTRIBUTION 2 — Throw (4 reps): GK throws ball with one hand to a target cone 10m away. Step forward with the opposite leg as the throwing arm.
- DISTRIBUTION 3 — Kick from hands (4 reps): GK drops the ball from chest height and kicks it 15m. Contact the ball as it falls to waist height.
