Both feet equally comfortable on the ball

Why this drill works

Futsal demands two-footed control more than any other format — the tight space means you can't always set up on your strong foot. Rolling the ball from one sole to the other across the body builds the two-footed feel that separates good futsal players from one-footed ones.

How to run it

  1. Each player with a ball. Roll the ball from the sole of one foot across to the sole of the other.
  2. Keep the ball moving side to side under control, weight shifting between feet.
  3. Build speed gradually — the rhythm should become a smooth shuffle.
  4. Add a stop: shuffle the ball across, then trap it under the weaker foot on the call.
  5. Finish moving: shuffle the ball side to side while walking forward across the court.

?Frequently asked questions

Why is two-footedness so important in futsal?
The court is so tight that you constantly receive and play on whichever foot is nearest. A one-footed player gives away their intentions and runs out of options in a phone box of space.
